Design
Maestrini designs its products using state-of-the-art CAD-CAM systems.
The design is focused on the durability and dependability of the finished product, through general overdimensioning and increased thickness in the areas under the most intense strain.
During the industrialization phase and before the start of serial production, every new item undergoes testing conditions markedly more severe than those it shall likely have to endure in real life.
Technical features
The company does not make use of external contractors, but manufactures directly the whole production.
This way, it is possible to keep under control every single item and guarantee an excellent quality.
The wide range of products on offer cannot be produced using a single kind of machine, consequently Maestrini uses automatic CNC lathes for the production of smaller items, CNC transfer machines for items of medium dimensions and CNC workcenters for larger articles.
There are also automatic multi spindle machines for mass production and normal CNC lathes for smaller batches.
Our articles can be obtained from bar, hot stamped or cast semifinished products, but never from diecasting.
Materials
Maestrini is specialized in the processing of copper alloys, specifically bronze, copper and corrosion-resistant (dezincification-resistant) CR brass.
All the copper alloys used for our products comply with the relevant European EN standards, and those used for DVGW certified articles for gas and drinking water installations also comply with the stricter requirements set by the certification body.
The following alloys are used for the production of our articles:
BRASS
CR BRASS
BRONZE
Other alloys are available upon request.
Threads
Our products are usually threaded according to UNI EN 10226-1 standard, with taper external threads and parallel internal threads, where tight joints are made on the threads. Some articles, for obvious technical reasons, are threaded according to UNI ISO 228/1, with both internal and external parallel threads.
Upon request, the articles can be threaded according to different standards.
